I got this poem by Dorothy Parker (better known as a short story writer) at a session by Alan Maley, at a conference. It's called "Unfortunate Coincidence".
By the time you swear you're his
Shivering and sighing
And he vows his passion is
Infinite, undying,
Lady, make a note of this:
One of you is lying.
Sarcastic, eh? But sometimes true, unfortunately!
